Theatre is best when it stirs those things in each of us which are hopeful and good. Reminding us that in a dark world, there are still things to hope for, fight for, and remember. That’s the journey I want to take most when I see a play or listen to a song. A journey into places where I feel inspired and renewed, despite the day I might be having or feelings that can come to discourage or take away from who we are.
Here are a few songs from the stage that endure as ones both memorable and full of unapologetic hope and good.
